I arrived in Greenland in summer and left in winter conditions - experiencing the change of the seasons was beautiful. This photo was taken on my last night before I had to start my journey on foot and by packraft back to the village on the last open water. I had to skip my initial plan to paddle all the way back to the main airport through the fjords because they were all frozen further inland. The temperatures dropped to minus 15 degrees Celsius that last week. I mostly slept during daytime, the nights were just too cold – but watching and shooting the aurora instead was an incredible experience.
